Scuba diving
Located just below the south end parking area of Halibut Pt. State Park and connected to the beach at low tide, Magic Island is small enough to circumnavigate on one tank of air. Divers usually start on the north side and emerge on the south side. The outside of the island drops in a wall 40-60 feet deep and the south end has a long reef line and a variety of swim-throughs. Rockfish, octopus and a variety of kelp are a few of the organisms typically encountered on this dive.
