Fly into Juneau International Airport, spend the day visiting historic downtown Juneau, and hike Perseverance Trail. Coordinate your arrival date with the departure of the ferry to Pelican.
Take the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry to Pelican for the day, a quaint boardwalk town full of colorful shops, saloons and a must-have meal at the Lisianski Cafe. Charter a local guide to hike the Takanis Lake Trail , or trip to White Sulfur Hot Springs for the day with a local charter boat. Ferry back to Juneau to enjoy Alaska’s Capitol City. If you want to spend more time in Pelican, you’ll have to arrange for float plane charter to Gustavus or Juneau.
